Sledding!

Today we went sledding. It was Owen's first time and he loved it. It was a great day to go, cause it was not very busy. We had a lot of fun and my brother and his family showed up too, so we had a really great time. We will definitely be doing that again. Both my boys are such dare devils. Aiden especially, he was going down on his belly, front and back, spinning down the hill, and other ways too. I think he was destined for a career in extreme sports.

These were taken right before we left. Owen was not too excited about having to put snow pants and boots on. That kid likes to have the least amount of clothes on as possible. Aiden as you can see was very excited. He's such a clown!

Our little engineer

Grandma Carlene has a train set up around her Christmas tree, and Owen absolutely loves it! He sits there for hours and runs that train. And he doesn't mind the hat either, which is so adorable.

Crib playdate

Owen has this thing where when he wakes up he doesn't like getting out of his crib. Well, one morning we went into his room and found this. Aiden had climbed in to play with him, after putting in a few toys to play with. He is such a good big brother.

Twilight Midnight Madness

So I downloaded pics from my camera and this is how far behind I am. I haven't even posted pics from my girls night out, to see Twilight. It was a lot of fun, and I thought that after the movie I would be dead tired, but I was so wired I could have seen it again. I am going to see it for the 3rd time this coming weekend, I am so stoked!
This is me and my sister-in-law, Kathie.

Carrie and her sister-in-law, Stephanie

Then me and my awesome Edward t-shirt.

Happy New Year......Almost

Can you believe it is almost 2009. That really boggles my mind to think how fast this past year has flown by. I hope everyone had a wonderful and safe Christmas. Our's was great, very very busy, but great. My Aunt (who is like one of my favorite people in the whole world) and my 3 cousins came to visit from Kansas City, Mo. Thanks to my awesome grandma & grandpa! It was great to see them and spend a lot of time with them. I realized later that I didn't take any pics on Christmas. I know that sounds terrible, but I did get a lot on video. I would post it but it'd be quite long.
I have Aiden recorded as saying "This was the best Christmas ever!" Thanks, Santa you did a wonderful job! Now its back to life as we normally know it. I will miss Christmas, as always. I love seeing all the lights, and visiting with friends and family you only get to see once a year. I will miss having all my decorations up, if it was up to me, I'd leave my tree up all year long!
Now the excitement of the new year has begun! I love the feeling of starting a new year. It's like a fresh start, a chance to do things you didn't last year. I hope everyone tries one new thing in 2009 that didn't or wouldn't in 2008. I think I will try to get over my fear of E.T. Probably won't happen, but hey, at least I'll try....... Maybe learning to skydive will be easier!

Lights, and more Lights

Last Friday my mother-in-law, and I took the boys to the Willard Bay lights. They were amazing! That was the first time I had been , and it was totally worth it. You get to drive around, stay nice and warm, and see really cool lights, all at the same time. Amazing! We also got to see Santa, and 2 reindeer (Dasher and Dancer) says Aiden. Then last night Jon and I took the boys along with my brother, his wife, and their 2 boys, to see the Zoo Lights. They were really cool too, unfortunately I think we were all too cold, and hungry to enjoy them fully. After the lights we went to the California Pizza Kitchen. That is a really good place to eat, and also very kid friendly. We were all exhausted by the end of the night. But it was fun to get together.

Facebook

I decided to finally join the world of Facebook. My sister Amber (who now lives in Tasmania) has an account, and that was going to be the easiest way to keep in contact with her. So check me out on Facebook if ya want. I'll be pretty busy the next week, as I 'm sure all of you wil be. So I'm saying early Merry Christmas! We love you all, and wish you a very happy holiday season.

Update

Sorry, I realize it's been a little while since my last post. We had a great Thanksgiving (actually we had 2). One on Thanksgiving at my dad's, then another one the following Sunday at Jon's mom's. They were both so delicious! Since my last post nothing much has been going on. We got all our Christmas shopping done the day after Thanksgiving. I decided to wake up at 6am and go to Walmart. Holy Cow, I will never do that again. It was insane! So after Jon and I got off work that day we went around 5pm to Target, and they still had a ton of stuff on sale. So next year I'm just going to wait til after work when it's not so crowded.
Also I saw Twilight for the 2nd time Friday night, with Lois. It was even better the 2nd time! Saturday the boys and I went to 2 birthday parties. Then later that night Jon and I went to my work Christmas party at Roosters in Layton. It was a lot of fun having everyone together! The food was great, and I won a $15 I-tunes card. Thanks Kyle! Well have a great week everyone! Til next time......

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

I just wanted to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving. In honor of today I thought I would write a few things that I am thankful for.

1. Owen making it through everything
2. My husband and children, who are my life
3. My job
4. Living in a free country
5. My health

These probably sound like really general things, but honestly I am grateful for everyone single one of them. I hope everyone today can remember what they are thankful for. Happy Thanksgiving!

Twilight Movie News!!!!

The film's $35 million-plus Friday gross was impressive enough to spur a press release Saturday trumpeting plans for the "Twilight" sequel "New Moon," based on the second in Meyer's series of best-sellers. "Twilight" scribe Melissa Rosenberg has already been working on scripts for potential sequels based on "Moon" and the third book in the series, "Eclipse."

Summit execs were huddling Sunday in an attempt to pin down release plans for "Moon," which may unspool by late 2009 but also could get a 2010 date.

Yeah Baby!!!!! Wootastic!!!

Twilight Movie

I went and saw Twilight the movie at midnight last night with Kathie(my sister-in-law), and Wendy and Carrie(from work). The movie was better than I expected. I had kept telling myself that it wasn't going to be anything like the book, but I was surprised that a lot of the stuff they actually got right. There were a couple things I would have changed, and I would have definitely made it longer. It was 2 hrs, but even at that length it felt squished. Like the director was in a hurry to tell the story. But all in all, I will see it again. Robert Pattinson was AMAZING! OMG!! I bought a Twilight T-shirt with his pic as Edward on it that I wore to the movie last night. And I am still currently wearing it. It is so beautiful I don't want to take it off. I know I'm a dork! Anyone who wants to see it let me know, I want to go again!

Tarzan?

My nephews came over to play last night, and thought it would be cool to take their shirts off and run around yelling like Tarzan. It was so cute, then they all got up onto my window seat bench and posed for these really cute pictures. They all have so much fun when they get together.

Sushi night!

Friday night we went to my friend Lois's house for Sushi night. Jon taught about 12 people how to make their own sushi. It was a lot of fun, and we also played Rock Band til about 1:30am. The pictures above are of the sushi that Jon made for he and I. It was so yummy!! If anyone ever wants how to make Sushi, Jon is an excellent teacher.

Tim Burton & Helena Bonham Carter

My brother's idol is Tim Burton. So for Halloween he and his wife Kathie dressed up as him, and Tim's partner, Helena Bonham Carter. I think it looks AWESOME!!!

Halloween

Aiden was Bumblebee (the Transformer). Owen was (or should I say is a monkey). This was Aiden's favorite costume so far. He loved it so much he wore it 2 days before Halloween. Then again the day before for my family's Halloween party at my brother's house. Then on Halloween, and finally the day after Halloween. Today I put the costume in the dirty clothes. And hopefully will be able to put it away for the rest of the year.

Here is all my nephews and Aiden & Owen. From left to right is My sister Amber with Christian (Steelers fan), Gabriel (Sturgis dude), Spencer (Anakin Skywalker), Chandler (Obi Wan Kan Nobi), Owen (monkey), and Aiden (Bumblebee). 6 boys under 5 years old. Whoa!!!

Carving Pumpkins

Carving pumpkins. The top one is Jon's emoticon, next my smiley face, Aiden's pirate, then Owen's spiderweb & spider.

Owen helping out. Not really but he thought that he was being a big helper. It was the fisrt year we've carved pumpkins with the boys. Aiden was so antsy the whole time, it was kind of irritating. By the time we finished I had a blister on my finger. I never realized how much work goes into carving pumpkins. I'm not really a big fan. But the boys had fun, so it was worth it. Messy, but worth it.

Black Island Farms

We went to Black Island Farms last Saturday. It was the first time we had been there. It was so much fun I think we will make that a yearly tradition. Aiden, Owen, and I rode on the train, while daddy took pictures. There was so much to do there. First Aiden wanted to go down all the slides, then we went through the corn maze. Aiden directed us through the corn maze all by himself. We didn't help at all. I'm glad he got Jon's sense of direction and not mine. We would have been in the maze forever if it was up to me. Next we took a hayride out to the pumpkin patches. We all got to pick out a pumpkin. It was a great family outing, and such a beautiful day. I really enjoyed spending the day with my family.

Pampered Chef

I would like to host a Pampered Chef party, but I do not know anyone who does it. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. Also I am interested in having a Tupperware party too. So if anyone knows somebody in both those areas I would like to contact them.

Thank You!!!

Local Wildlife at the Snowberry Inn

So I think everyone knows how deathly afraid of bees I am. Well this is what we found in our room. A huge freakin Hornet!!! OMG!! That was scary. I locked myself in the bathroom til Jon could trap it. Then he locked himself in the bathroom and flushed it down the toilet. I was soooooo terrified just taking this picture. My heart was racing like crazy!!

Then on our way out of the parking lot at the Inn, we saw this big Hen. The picture doesn't do it justice, it was a big mama!

Randon Pictures in Eden/Huntsville

We we taking a scenic drive around Pineview and ran into this cemetery.
I thought the trees were so beautiful, and bright red. Unfortunately the gate was locked so we couldn't go in. So I did the best I could and stuck my camera thru the gate, and snapped this. I think it turned out really well.

This is a close up of another red tree that was in the parking lot of the cemetery. Isn't so beautiful, I love it!

These next 2 pics, are just of a couple different wild flowers Jon and I saw while walking around the Inn.

The Snowberry Inn

This was our room. It was called The Monte Cristo room, ooh aahh.

This was our bathtub, that Jon actually fit into. He has always been too tall, and had yet to find a tub that fit him. He loved actually being able to relax and take a bath.

Our & year Anniversary was the 19th, so for the weekend my awesome mother-in-law, bought us a fabulous getaway at the Snowberry Inn which is in Eden,Utah. It was so gorgeous, and peaceful, just what we needed. We didn't really do much but lounge around the Inn and relax. Saturday we drove around Eden and Hunstville and found a craft fair, and a couple antique shops and browsed around. It was so much fun, to not have anything planned and do whatever we felt like doing. Thank you, Carlene for a wonderful weekend. We wouldn't have been able to do it without your help. And thanks to you and my mom for both watching our boys.
