Trip to the Zoo.......Again

Yes, I love the zoo, and we go quite a bit!!
I went to the Zoo with my Sisters last Thursday. And between the 3 of us we have 6 boys (all under the age of 6, and no girls), so it was a little crazy, but so much fun. I don't get to see Amber and her boys too often, cause they often live out of the country. So it was very fun to have us all together. The boys had a blast too, of course. They are such goofballs when they get together.

Happy Anniversary Babe!

Today is our 7th Anniversary! Wow, time has really flown by. Its amazing how much my love for Jon has grown, I love him more today than I did 7 years ago. I know our love will only get stronger as the years go by. Thank you for a wonderful weekend honey! I love you!

He is Done!!!!!

Jon has officially finished all of his pharmacy school application stuff, and sent it off!! Yeah! Now comes the hard part. We just get to wait, and wait, and wait, and wait, and then wait some more. As soon as any new developments come up I'll be letting ya know. Thanks to everyone who helped. And also thanks for all the encouragement.

1. I have to sleep on the left side of the bed. (Not so weird, but I have to sit on the left side of the couch too, and I always sit on Jon's left at restaurants.)

Aiden's Multiple Personalities

Why is it that one minute your children are precious, adorable little angels, and the next they are making you want to pull your hair out? Aiden was in such a great mood today, and then I think somehow he had a spell cast upon him, that made him a holy terror! By the time Jon got home from work, I was literally ready to cry. Some days I feel like I'm not being a good mom. But I don't know what I did or what I could have done to make today better. I just hate it, cause I feel like my whole day with Aiden was spent punishing him and putting him in timeout. I want to have fun with my boys on my days off, but today was the exact opposite! AHHHH!!! Hopefully next weekend will be better. Hopefully.

Go Rock Band!!

Saturday night we went my BFF Lois' house and played Rock Band for the first time. It was so fun, that we ended up staying til midnight. I first started out playing the Bass, Jon was playing Drums and Lois was lead Guitarist. Well I sucked at the Bass, so I switched to Lead Singer. It was a lot better, and a lot more fun to sing. We had so much fun that we purchased Rock Band on Ebay tonight. We found a really good deal and couldn't pass it up. So hopefully in about a week we will have it and be able to start playing. Yeah!!! Go Rock Band!!!

Yummy Cookies

Aiden and I made yummy Peanut Butter cookies tonight. And the recipe was soooooooo simple, anyone could do it. The best part was that there were only 3 ingredients, so it was very easy for Aiden to help out. And the mess wasn't too bad either. I decided since the recipe was so easy I would post it for anyone else that wanted to try.

1c. Peanut Butter
1c. Sugar (and a little bit extra for later)
1 Egg


Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Stir together the peanut butter, sugar, an egg in a large mixing bowl. Roll dough into 1-inch balls. Put some sugar on a plate and roll balls in it to coat. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Press each ball down with a fork to make a crisscross design. Bake 10 minutes or until cookies start to brown on the edges.


Thats it! Talk about simple! Aidens favorite part was rolling the balls in the sugar and pressing them down with the fork. He did a great job, and they were delicious! Enjoy!

The Boys' New Haircuts

We decided to have Owen's head shaved! Isn't it so freakin cute?! I love that it makes him look even fatter! I didn't think that was possible. Now he really is my Chubba!















And as always Aiden looks more like Jon whenever he gets his haircut. He is such a dork when I take his picture, he can't hold still for even a second! I am truly lucky to have 3 handsome men in my life. I am the luckiest girl in the world!

So I just wanted to let everyone know of all the schools that Jon is applying to this year. They are as follows:

Honestly at this point I really don't care where we go, as long as he gets in! Everyone pray for him! I know that's weird coming from me.

Happy Birthday Jon!!

Jon's Bday was yesterday, and he is now 27 years old! Yes, that's right, I robbed the cradle folks! I didn't have time to post this yesterday. But the day started out by Aiden and I cooking daddy breakfast. We made eggs, bacon, sausage, and cinnamon rolls. Then he and I went and had a couples massage at Sego Lily spa in Layton. It was heaven! We had whats called the Rocky Mountain Stone Massage. Then after that Jon's parents came over and we had dinner, and cake, and ice cream. Overall I thought it was a good day. I hope Jon felt the same. I want him to know how much the boys and I love him, and appreciate everything he does for us. He is the best father and husband. Happy Birthday Babe, I love you!

Jon's New Blog

So Jon decided to start his own "angry pharmacist" blog. He's only posted once, but he's just getting going. Take a look, if you dare, it is a little vulgar in some spots. For those of you who know Jon, or don't know him very well, its a different side of him, that even I don't see very often. Probably because I don't work with him. But its really good! It is under Wally on my blog list.

Spencer's Soccer Game

My nephew Spencer played his first soccer game, Saturday morning. He did so well, I wished I had pictures to show, but I had forgotten my camera. Way to go Spencer!!!

On another happy note, my sister-in-law, Kathie is expecting a new baby!! Sometime in April, but we're not exactly sure the due date yet. We are all hoping for a girl, since Lexi is the only granddaughter with 6 grandsons. But no pressure, Kathie, we will be so excited no matter what. And her and Brandon just bought a new home, that is practically right down the street from us! Yeah!!!! A new house, and a new baby, CONGRATULATIONS you guys, we love you!!

Update

Not much has taken place since I lasted posted, and I have no new pictures to post. But I thought I would at least tell you about our previous week. Monday was Labor Day, and we had a great BBQ with some of our friends, and my family. It was a lot of fun, and great that everyone could get together at the last minute. However, Monday night around midnight, Aiden starting throwing up and didn't stop til bout 4:30am. I ended up calling in sick to work Tuesday to stay home with him. By Tuesday afternoon he was feeling much better. Tuesday night however, around midnight again, Jon starting throwing up. He was much worse than Aiden and he didn't start feeling better until Wednesday night. So far by Wednesday I had a total of maybe 7 hours of sleep. Wednesday night everyone is fine and we all get a great night sleep. Thursday evening rolls around, and I start throwing up. I ended up calling in sick Friday and spent all day in bed. I didn't get out of bed until Saturday morning. It was awful, I have never been that sick, even when I was pregnant. It was nasty!!! Anyway I'm happy to report that all of us are feeling much better, and to our surprise. Owen was the only one who didn't get sick! He always catches everything, but for once he didn't, thankfully. I don't think I could have handled anymore sickness! So that was our week wrapped up! Yeah so much sickly fun!

Trip to the Zoo

Aiden riding the new Carousel. He wanted to ride it again and again, but at $2 a ride, once was enough for my wallet! Believe it or not Owen was there too, but Jon and I only took these 3 pictures, the whole time!! We all had such a good time. It was nice to get out of the house and spend some time together as a family. Our favorite part I think was watching the elephant show. They have trained the elephants to kick a soccer ball, pick up recycling, and know the difference between trash and recyclables! Amazing, if the elephants can recycle then so can everyone else! Owen and Aiden laughed when the elephant was kicking the soccer ball, they thought it was really cool. And the tiger is one of my favorites, I can't believe how close we got. It was really cool!

Sarah's 50th Bday Bash

Jon was trying to be cool, and show us all a "bar trick". He was going to use a dollar bill as a bottle opener. Didn't go over too well, actually, so he ended up using a real bottle opener. So much for the cool bar trick, honey.









Below we have Jon and my brother Brandon, who got ambushed by a bunch of little kids with water balloons. You can't really tell, but they were pretty soaked.













Brandon and I trying to wrestle in the kids bouncy castle. I say trying cause we weren't very successful at taking each other down. The kids got bored waiting for us so they jumped in to help. Then our sister Amber joined us, so we had 3 adults, and 3 kids altogether. It was crazy for a minute, but really fun.

Here's just a couple random pics of my silly boys. My wonderful mom-in-law bought those adorable overalls for Owen and this was the first time he wore them. He looks so cute! And then Aiden felt left out, so I snapped him making some weird face. He could look absolutely normal, but the second I pull out my camera he starts making weird faces, he's such a little dork!

10 Year Reunion

K- So I'm a little late posting all these, but better late than never. This is of me, Deseree, and Lois. Aren't we beautiful?!! It was sooooooooo much fun getting dressed up and going out with my girls again! The 3 of us hadn't been together since my wedding, which was 7 years ago! The reunion itself blew huge chunks, but it was fun to see a few people. They basically all looked the same, and acted the same! I was like, duh totally grow up already. Oh well, after the reunion was the funnest. The 3 of us went to Dee's, our old high school hang out. It was great to chat about old times together. Love ya girls!!

TWILIGHT UPDATE

So Stephenie Meyer was in the process of writing Midnight Sun, which for those of you who don't know is a version of Twilight, written in Edwards perspective instead of Bella's. She had posted an unfinished rough draft of the first chapter on her website. It was amazing! Even better than the original Twilight. Well some (excuse my language here) asshole decided to leak what she had written so far, and now she is saying that she has put the project on hold indefinitely. She says that she know who leaked it, and is too upset to even think of finishing it now. Meaning it was probably someone close to her! Stupid jerk, couldn't wait until she finished it to see what happens. Now its ruined forever, and we'll never know. As you can tell, I am very pissed off about this new development. I was hoping in the future she will change her mind, and finish it. But then I found out that instead of having her fans get the unifinished version illegally, she has posted it on her website to read. I for one am not going to do so, because now knowing it will never be finished, I can not read it knowing that fact. I was really looking forward to Midnight Sun, even more so than Twilight, because it was soooooo much better. Damnit!!!!!

P.S. I am sorry if any of my swearing offends anyone, but I am really pissed off!!

Twilight Countdown

So I updated my Twilight Movie countdown widget. It is now at the bottom of the page along with the trailer. I found it all by myself and copied and pasted all by myself too. No help from J.J. this time! Ya, I'm getting pretty good at this computer stuff. So I'm curious if any of you are as addicted to the books as I am, so I will be posting a questionnaire of sorts to see how long it took you to read Breaking Dawn, and how many times you've read the whole series. My hope is that some of you are worse than me, and Jon won't think I'm such a dork.

Update

So I haven't posted any new pictures for awhile, because well my camera is broken, and I haven't been able to take any new pics in awhile. Also I've been kinda lazy and don't want to download any right now. But I thought I would at least tell ya whats been going on in our lives lately. Jon has started the tedious process of applying to pharmacy schools, yet again. I'm excited, but nervous. Excited because this is his best year so far to apply. Nervous because there are only 3 schools west of the Mississippi river that he is applying to. So chances are we'd be moving to the east coast. But I we'll do what we must when the time comes. I just really hope he gets in this time. He deserves it more than anyone I know. Then yesterday I did a garage sale with my friend (well actually more like my second family) Rachael and her family. That was lots of fun!! Of course any time hanging out with the Spicer's is fun! They definitely keep things interesting!! So I'd better stop here, being that its Sunday, I have to clean/do laundry/etc. And Aiden starts pre-school in a few days so I have to get ready for that as well. Have a happy week everyone!!!

I'm Found!!

Even though I was never really lost, as Jon says, I have to admit I have been a little addicted to the Twilight series. After the release of Breaking Dawn (which I had read in 2 days), I decided to re-read the entire series again. I am now 1/2 way through book 2 (Jacob) of Breaking Dawn. I have become a pretty speedy reader! But I also have had weddings, birthdays, a camping trip, and a 10 year reunion to occupy my time the past few weeks. So don't let Jon fool you into thinking that I have abandoned my family! I'm sorry I haven't been posting lately, but I will rectify that soon.

Yummy Garlic Bread

So with Jon's yummy lasagna, I made yummy garlic bread. Which is one of Aiden's favorites. Aiden likes to stick the whole piece of bread up to his face and poke out the middle with his tongue and eat that first. Well as you can see from the photo on the left, that leaves a very greasy mess. But we figure, it doesn't matter how it eats it, just as long as he eats it!

Jon made lasagna last night for dinner, and we decided to let Owen feed it to himself. Well as you can see, the results were messy! But he absolutely loved it! (As did the rest of us, Jon makes the best lasagna in the whole world!)I think it is one of Owens favorites now.

So J.J. thought it would be funny to piss me off and vote for Jacob, after my last post. Oh well I can't be too mad at him, considering he made Better than Sex Cake for me and brought it to work today! I had never had it before, omg!! , its outrageously delicious!! And outrageously bad for you! 355 calories and 13.3 grams of fat per slice! Oh well its totally worth it.

Breaking Dawn

So I've been thinking about going to the midnight release of Breaking Dawn. Anyone who wants to come with me, let me know!!! I'm so excited, especially since Carrie emailed me the first chapter of the book! You're the best Carrie!! Now its all I can think about!! 21 days to go!!!!!! I fell like such an obsessed dork!! Oh well, who cares? I don't! I totally admit that I am addicted!! Who isn't?

Owen's favorite activity is to play with my tupperware in the kitchen. He always make a huge mess. Well a couple days ago, he had made such a big mess that no matter where he stood he was standing on top of lids and bowls. He slipped and fell right into a tupperware bowl. At first he didn't think it was too funny, but then he saw me laughing my butt off, and he decided that it was pretty funny. So I ran and grabbed my camera, and snapped this right before he pulled his chubby butt out! He's so stinkin cute!

Salute to Kathie!!!

I have to salute my Sister-in-Law Kathie!!! She is terrified of heights, and she decided this year, to risk her life and ride the Sky Coaster with Brandon and I. She was terrified and I think on the verge (if not already) of a panic attack. After a few choice words (which I never thought I would hear from her mouth) on the way up, Brandon pulled the rip cord, which he and fought over between rock-paper-scissors, and he won. It was exhilarating! And Kathie said "I want to do it again"! She was such a trooper, and I think she is so AWESOME for overcoming her fear!

Lagoon

We went to Lagoon on Wednesday for Harmons Lagoon Day. Jon, Aiden, and I (Owen stayed home with Grandma Carlene) went with Brandon, Kathie, Spencer, and Chandler. It was so much fun! We all had such a blast! Aiden never wanted to leave. We all took the Front Runner to the Farmington Station, and then Lagoon has a free shuttle bus that picks you up and takes you to Lagoon. It was so cool, not to have to worry about driving or parking!

Jon was so awesome, he took the all 3 boys and rode on the rides while we waited in line for the Sky Coaster. He is too chicken to ride it with me. (Love you Honey)

Harmons Lagoon Day!

Here is Aiden (riding his very first lagoon without mommy or daddy) and his cousin Spencer riding Dinosaur Drop (the kids version of the Rocket). I rode this with Aiden last year and he loved it. This year he was terrified! He cried the whole time he was on it. When he got off, he said "Mommy I want you to ride it with me next time". The pic above was taken before the ride started.

This water slide was the first ride Jon took Aiden on when we got to the park. What a HUGE mistake! Aiden loved it so much he wanted to ride it again, and cried when we told him he had to go on other rides! By the end of the day I gave in and went on it again with him.

Here is Aiden riding the Swings (kids version). He liked it. He wanted me to ride with him, but I told him mommy would get sick to her tummy if I did.

Aiden riding bumper cars. This was perfect for him. He could crash as many times as he wanted and never get hurt! He thought it was so funny to run into his cousins, Spencer and Chandler. He was actually a really good driver. Probably cause he plays Burnout on our Xbox 360.

4th of July Fireworks

lighting fireworks at my parents house. The boys had so much fun, they didn't want it to end. Owen was afraid of the loud popping fireworks so he sat in mommy's lap most of the time.

4th of July parade

We went to the West Point parade on the 4th of July. Aiden had so
much fun. He loved the firetrucks, horses, and tractors the best. He also got so much candy that I might have to cancel Halloween. Owen wasn't really sure what to think, it was his first parade, so he just sat in his stroller looking awe struck.

I'm finally blogging again! I got in trouble my someone at work (you know who you are). So here I am blogging again. It's only been like 3 weeks whats the big deal?!? Life has been pretty chaotic, as usual. Jon performed another wedding ceremony on the 4th. For my very good friend Heidi, which makes that a grand total of 2! It's so weird that he (of all people) is a reverend!!! The boys are getting huge, Owen no longer fits into 12-18 month clothes. He can fit into 2T depending on the outfit. And Aiden is getting really good at basketball! Jon got a basketball hoop for fathers day so they are out there playing any chance they get. Why do they have to grow up so fast.
So my 10 year reunion is next month! I feel old now, realizing its been that long since I graduated! It's going to be weird seeing people that I haven't seen in 10 years! What do I say? Anyway I'll wrap things up now, Aiden wants to play video games with me!

Jon's MS 150 Bike Ride

So Jon did the MS 150 last weekend. For those who don't know it is a bike ride that benefits Multiple Sclerosis, it is 150 miles over 2 days. Well my honey decided that wasn't enough so he did whats called the "century", which means he rode 100 miles the 1st day and then 75 the next. He is such a hot stud!! Way to go babe!!
